More like the victim had to have done something to make the attacker mad and trigger him. Possibly out of video microphone range a secret implied insult caused all this. Used clothes value of MAGA cap is less than misdemeanor legal hurdle so dropped.
Victim will go to jail for 6 months and undergo re-education.
