James Woods is saying he has been dropped by his talent agent.
The news was first revealed by the Emmy award winning actor himself on Twitter, who shared an email he received from his talent agent, Ken Kaplan.
"It's the 4th of July and I'm feeling patriotic. I don't want to represent you anymore. I mean I could go on a rant but you know what I'd say," said Kaplan, who Woods described as a "political liberal"
Kaplan is a partner at the The Gersh Agency. Among his others clients are Hollywood stars like Winona Ryder and Kristen Stewart, according to IMDB.
The agent did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap on Thursday.
The actor famous for his roles in films like Casino, Salvador and Videodrome, is one of Hollywood most outspoken conservatives and a vocal supporter of President Trump on Twitter. Woods also posted his own reply back to Kaplan.
Despite once being a Hollywood A-lister, Woods has seen his career fall off dramatically in his elders years, a development he has attributed to being "blacklisted" for his conservative views.

Or better yet, he and Roseanne shout come up with a TV show. He could be the long suffering factory owner and Rosie could be a line worker who gives him constant headaches. It could be hysterical, especially since manufacturing is coming back to the US
Was talking with Aunt who is conservative and involved with Hollywood. she said that conservatives just keep it a secret if they want to work.
I asked about her nephew who is on the first to call list when it comes to special effects and she said if it got out he was conservative it would hurt his career but he is at the top of his field so he would still work but he better not be openly be politically active because it would take him from being on the first call to do projects to him having to finance the projects he works on.
