Actually, when I saw the picture, the first thing I thought was that his name had to be Jonathan. I was wrong but let me explain.
I’m sure there are some decent Jonathans out there, but in my experience there’s a karma about names. And very few “regular guys” are named Jonathan. I think particularly of that obnoxious reporter Jonathan Chait, who writes for, I believe, The Nation.
The other thing I thought, based on the picture, is that this dude has really bad sinus problems, or adenoid trouble.

Finally convinced my wife on the “Jon” thing. Not all of them, but surely most.
Have a buddy who says the cue for him is “Allen”.
Hmmmmmmm, you might be on to something there.......LOL!
Maybe that book made the name popular again.
