The problem is that JPII’s Theology of the Body laid the foundation for a solution, but it has not been widely and vigorously embraced by the hierarchy, so the world is still setting the agenda in a lot of dioceses.

The best the secular liberals can hope for from the Catholic Church is “love the sinner, hate the sin”. Even the guilt ridden homosexual clergy, that is far too numerous and powerful, knows that there cannot be “gay marriage’ within the Catholic Church. Nor can there be acquiescence to the molestation and imprinting of young boys which is at the core of homosexuality. Homosexuality is an abomination and the Church must purge homosexual priests from the clergy, make celibacy optional so that more normal heterosexuals enter the priesthood and disband the Jesuit order. The Jesuits have devolved into an unspeakable cabal of homosexuals.

NO.

READ ECCLESIASTES.

THERE'S NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN AND MOST CERTAINLY NOT IN THE WORLD THAT YOU AT ONE TIME HAD COMPLETELY OBSERVED AND DETERMINED THE CONVICTION THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS SIN.

THERE WAS NOTHING THEN THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR MIND.

AND THERE IS NOTHING NEW THAT SHOULD INFLUENCE YOU TO CHANGE YOUR MIND NOW.

MANY BELIEVE CATHOLICS DON'T READ THE BIBLE ... DON'T GIVE THEM THE AMMUNITION TO RIDDLE YOU FULL OF HOLES.

As a Catholic, letting apostates anti-Christs Muslims and inverts like 0 and Bergoglio influence the Church is like accepting Shaun King as a African American or Bruce Jenner as a woman ... insanity

The speed at which L.G.B.T. rights became a mainstream issue, including for many religious denominations, represents nothing less than a dizzying cultural transformation.

No, it represents the power of propaganda, and it demonstrates that most people have no moral anchor, no moral compass. Most people get their sense of right and wrong from the society itself, which means when the society goes off the rails, they have no way of knowing.

No conservative Catholic church anywhere near me.

It’s dead.

God does not shift His position, in accord, with public opinion polls. It doesn’t end well for those that feel they know more than their Creator.

The “cultural winds” have shifted many times in the two-millennial existence of the Church.
You had the Reformation in 1517 to the Restoration in 1830, and many others, since.

Those who believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word, will always see sodomy as sin.
Sodomy also doesn’t fit the pattern that God gave us to teach us about the covenant relation, between God and the Church - that intimate relationship ultimately produces the Kingdom.

The church was the woman in the Book of Revelation, the awaiting Bride with her foolish virgins in Matthew, the reason why God said ‘I am married to you’ in Jeremiah:

“Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you; and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion” - Jeremiah 3:14

The Kingdom was the ‘child’ born out of the ‘marriage’ between God (i.e. ‘the man’) and the Church (i.e. ‘the woman’).
How do you get a Kingdom born between two men or two women? Answer: you don’t.

Closing your eyes and covering your ears is not a good tactic.

You might not be interested in LGBTQ but they are interested in you and your children.

And no, the Catholic Church will not "evolve" to accept sin.

Two thoughts:

1. I hope you're correct. Any church that "evolves" to accept a lifestyle that purposefully lives in direct contrast to God and Natural Law isn't a church of God any longer.

2. Aren't we all sinners?

When words like "evolve" are used, what's really meant is to accept the sin as normal and stop standing in the way of its advocation as normal behavior. That would be wrong. Not in my lifetime will that happen, and I say that as a sinner who hates his own sin.

The author’s pronouncements in the excerpt are classic NYT disinformation. A “revolution” is coming, folks are getting on board with it.

Better get with it you Catholics - or you”ll be on the wrong side of history....

God? Whose that?

Some of the main stream Protestant religions are also ignoring what the Bible says about LGBTQ folks.

The foundation of Christian morality is God's character and moral nature. This is what tells us the difference between good and evil. God's character and moral nature are absolute, eternal, and unchanging.

And no, the Catholic Church will not "evolve" to accept sin.

They don't have to accept sin...They just have to take homosexuality out of the sin file and move it to the not-sin file...
Actually homosexuality has never been a sin for the Catholic Clergy or anyone else...

It is not God who authors that set of files for the Catholic religion, but the religion itself...

Take for example God's prohibition of Bishops and all other overseers of the church to be unmarried, childless men...The Catholic religion made up it's own un-Godly rules for that as well...

It's not a question of whether the Catholic religion will (publicly) accept queer leaders and policy, they are already doing that...It's a done deal...The question is: what are folks like you going to do???

Interesting read...
Another one...

Every human has to decide if their decision choices are “KINGDOM” OR “NON-KINGDOM”....period!

You are going to live eternity with Jesus or Satan- your choice. Talk about an easy way to decide something is a chalk board with the two headings above. Then decide what you want to do and decide where that decision goes- can’t go anywhere but one of the above! Then, search God’s Holy Word (The Bible) for His answer.

Although I know this and try to live this, I fail. I don’t live with my bad decisions as once I ask for forgiveness and truly repent, Jesus takes them from me and it is well with my soul!!

We are currently members of the Methodist church. Our hope is MGGA (Make God Great Again!!)..happens to Jesus’ bride at the 2019 and 2020 General Conferences. We believe through prayer and fasting that Jesus reigns with man and that the evil within our churches will be defeated. Plus, as a global church we have the solid African and Asian countries who read their Bibles to analyze what is right and what is wrong. They are the show me where God says that we pray will bring Wesley’s church back to Jesus!!!

If not, we are gone in a heartbeat.

The NYT also mischaracterizes the phrase “intrinsically disordered” as degrading. They are probably deliberately using the word “disorder” like the word “disease”, in the medical sense.

My understanding is that the phrase speaks to God’s established natural order of how sexuality is to be expressed, between one man and one woman, referencing back to Genesis, and Jesus’ teachings about marriage and the union between a man and woman.

The phrase is correctly, and I’d say it’s intuitively obvious if your conscience is well-formed, stating that homosexual acts are by their very nature not aligned with God’s plan for human sexuality.

That’s not an ad hominem attack on homosexuals, it’s simply a statement of “what is”, as God has revealed through scripture.

Wrongo.

A school or any institution calling itself Catholic which professes heresy is a dangerous place. Any parent not yanking their child out of this situation is complicit in teaching their child that Catholicism includes sexual perversion

Public school is far better that a heretical Catholic school. Living without a second income and homeschooling is better
