Both are...
Nelson is older. He will retire soon. I'd rather gamble on the governor appointing a competent replacement than see John McCain 2.0 elected.
When a republican like Scott starts prattling about gun control, it usually causes gun control to pass because conservatives will forgive "their" people more readily than they should. Conservatives will fight "the enemy" (ie, Democrats, ie Nelson in this case) more robustly.
We are less likely to get gun control with Nelson than we are Scott. So piss on Rick Scott. I'd rather see Nelson hold the seat for now and have the governor replace him. It would be very hard for the result of that sequence of events to be worse than to have another backstabbing, pants wetting RINO in the Senate for the next 30 years.
See my tag line. There are reasons that traitors are more dangerous than enemies.

(Traitors are more dangerous than enemies. Vote and act accordingly.)

Then you are a poltical moron. BOTH are gun Control advocates
Scot will vote with Trump. Nelson will vote against Trump.
So it obvious to anyone not a Democrat stooge pretending to be a Conservative who you should want to win.

Nelson would not retire before his term is up.
That is just plain stupid talk.
