Burke didn’t really apologize, IMO. She should have said nothing about the point she was trying to make about the president. She should have merely said she was sorry for her boorish behaviour. Her apology was basically “I’m sorry I yelled, but it was really Trump’s fault for being so degrading to women”. No sale.
Those “I’m sorry, but....” apologies do not work out so well in some situations now do they buttercup?
