This guy is followed by Cernovich, Posobiec and James Woods. I know at least Cern and Posobiec are pretty well connected with the Trump Admin, so I think this is somewhat solid. We'll know for sure in 24h.

Also, 60 votes is what it takes, not 51 minus 5 RINO’s.

Gawd, you're not just an a-hole, you're ignorant as well. McConnell, in a rare moment of finding his spine, lowered the confirmation threshhold to 51 for Gorsuch.

I agree with you. A possible Trump curve ball.

If Trump wants to put elected dems in states that he carried in electoral hell than Amy Barrett is a great pick.

Even better is she is a textulist just like Scilia. She will make a great Judge. She was the only one with enough guts to tell Congress bad law should be over turned.

The Marxist are going to go bat s##t crazy if she if the nominee. The big ugly will be on full display and the base will be fired up big time. The Rats get no free lunch if Trump nominate Amy Barrett.

If true, this seems to be an excellent choice.

If not, I hope she’s selected down the road.

I’m not belittling a woman for having too many kids. I myself am one of twelve. But kids can become targets of threats if you know what I mean.

Oh, puh-leeze. Under your viewpoint, we should only nominated childless adults to SCOTUS. That’s absurd.

Why assume that a (devout, according to her own words) Catholic is loyal to the Pope?

I'm Catholic, and I can tell you honestly, the more the devout the Catholic, the lower their opinion of Pope Francis. I attend Latin Mass which attracts the upper echelon of Catholics in terms of devoutness, and approximately 97% of devout Catholics I know don't like the guy. The other 3% are elderly Filipino ladies with dementia.

She seems to be one of the best on the list. You never fully know with a Supreme Court choice, but you have indications, and all of her indications are good.

This argument that she shouldn’t be picked because of Sandra Day O’Connor just plain doesn’t hold water.

How many female judges are going to understand what “shall not be infringed” means?

Top of her class as an undergrad
Top of he class at ND law school
Recommended by every prof at her law school both liberal and conservative
Recommended by every one that clerked with her at the SC and both liberals and conservative.
Twice voted best proffessor at ND by the students of ND.

I'm pretty sure she knows what "shall not be infringed" means

We just won a bunch of major decisions 5-4. How much were you thinking about the religions of the majority then?

A good example of virtue signaling are those insufferable people to put "Hate Has No Home Here" lawn signs in their yard. In fact those are the most hateful and intolerant people you will ever meet.

And those signs always sprouted in the same spots where Hillary signs were a few weeks beforehand. I'm sure that was just a coincidence.

Then hopefully your gut is way more informed about this nominee than mine. I’m just going with the fact the chances of a female judge being truly strict constructionist conservative are extremely remote

Well, I guess if you had your way back in the Bush the Elder years, we should have never nominated Clarence Thomas since Thurgood Marshall was such a hardcore lib. CAN WE PLEASE EXAMINE THE CONTENT OF HER CHARACTER?

Laura Ingraham has three adopted children from other countries; would that disqualify her?

she’s catholic. With the Pope now being full out pro-gay, that’s scary.

Like many actual Catholics, I am sure she knows enough to ignore most of what this Pope says.

In many cases it can be harder to adopt domestically than from overseas.

My husband and I found that out when we were researching adoption.

We ended up adopting a 5-year-old from a Russian orphanage because

(1) We didn't have to go through our County and State Foster System as precondition to adoption --- which we couldn't stomach.

(2) Adopting from Russia, there was no possibility of a birthmother or birthfather making a surprise appearance and trying to bollix things up with some belated legal complication.

(3) There was no question of "open adoption" -- the requirement to be open to involving the birthmother in terms of identifying contact information or ongoing relationship, if she wants that.

Many people don't realize that adoption in the US can be tied up in a hundred legal and regulatory knots.

Not only that: I'm amazed at the people who can't distinguish between cheap, photo-op, hypocritical "virtue-signalling," and genuine "virtue", which is where you engage quietly and sincerely, act generously, and pay up personally.

It’s like saying Rachel Maddow is bad, so Laura Ingraham shouldn’t have a show.
