(Excerpt) Read more at marketwatch.com ...
Could be making more people sick, those are just the ones so far identified
Hope they did not hired illegals to work for them.
Biggirl, where do you think the salmonella came from?
Kellogg’s stock is down almost 2% today. Some days it sucks being a left wing activist organization. :)

The wheat they use is making people obese and giving them diabetes...so if this type of outbreak slows down distribution of their ‘cereals’, that’s a good thing.
We’re boycotting anti-American Kellogg anyway.
Wheat? Not whatever passes for “honey”?
What is the scope of this outbreak ???
Kelloggs makes plenty of off brand cereals too. I have yet to see those names and items listed.
Here is a chart of the States affected:
It’s been quite a few years since I bought any cereal. Well before the Kelloggs thing.
Too many chemicals and sugar.
I was wondering the same. The ingredients they use aren’t that prone to salmonella plus they bake the cereal so it must be on the equipment.
Kellogg’s has long been on my ban list. They support Trump haters.
The CDC says people were getting sick on March 3 but we’re just now finding out. Four and a half months ago. Actually, this is fast reporting for them as some of their notices don’t come out for two years. Surprised many more people don’t die between them identifying the problems and getting the word out.
Salmonella species are intracellular pathogens:[4] certain serotypes cause illness. Nontyphoidal serotypes can be transferred from animal-to-human and from human-to-human. They usually invade only the gastrointestinal tract and cause Salmonella food poisoning; symptoms resolve without antibiotics. However, in sub-Saharan Africa, they can be invasive and cause paratyphoid fever, which requires immediate treatment with antibiotics. Typhoidal serotypes can only be transferred from human-to-human, and can cause Salmonella food poisoning, typhoid fever, and paratyphoid fever.[5] Typhoid fever occurs when Salmonella invades the bloodstreamthe typhoidal form, or in addition spreads throughout the body, invades organs, and secretes endotoxinsthe septic form. This can lead to life-threatening hypovolemic shock and septic shock and requires intensive care including antibiotics.
The collapse of the Aztecs society in Mesoamerica is linked to catastrophic Salmonella outbreak, one of humanity's deadliest, that occurred after the Spanish conquest.[6]

Haven’t bought any Kellogg products since the boycott began, so no worries here. They should go broke even more quickly now.
“K E double L, O double barf - Kellogg’s is bleeeck for you!”
