F’ing Kraut.

IIRC, American’s troubles didn’t start until George II, the first true *Kraut* to rule the British throne, ascended.

Easy, there.

1. George I, Elector of Hanover, was invited in in 1714. His son was George II.

2. At this point the German blood has been a good deal diluted. Victoria started it all over again by marrying Albert, and then Queen Mary was mostly German -- but QEII's mother was 100% British - half Scottish and closely related to the Iron Duke.
