Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday he wanted President Trump to win the 2016 election, a comment sure to fuel more scrutiny of Moscow's meddling efforts.
"Yes, I did, because he was the one who wanted to normalize relations with Russia," Putin said when asked if he wanted Trump to win.

Remember, one goal of espionage is to sow chaos. Russia supported Clinton and Russia supported Trump. Russia also released damaging info on both.
He just loves it that as a result, the Dems in particular are using this narrative to disrupt US politics.

I find that statement kind of odd, since Hillary and Obama showed such fealty to Putin almost from Day One of the Reign of Darkness — The laughable “reset” button Hillary presented to the Russian FM in 2009, the sudden withdrawal of defensive missile systems from Poland and the Czech Republic in 2009, The notorious Uranium One deal in 2010, and that disastrous New START treaty in 2010, which guaranteed the Russians a 10-1 advantage in theater mid-range ballistic missiles.
