As a sixty year baseball fan I have to say that inter league games are anathema. We used to have a couple “exhibition games” years ago— Cleveland would play a game with Cincinnati once or twice a year, eg, and they would do zany stuff like having Rocky Colavito pitch (he had a wicked fast ball.)

But they didn’t count in the standings, were only modestly popular even in the fifties. As for now, they would do well to can the inter league crap and for that matter return to the eternal rivalries.

Colavito actually pitched in two regular-season games, 10 years apart. He pitched an inning for the Indians in 1958 and one for the Yankees in 1968. He has a 1-0 W-L record. (He was the winning pitcher in that game for the Yankees.)
