Newt said something to the effect that everyone should be satisfied with Trump's correction.
It’s why Rush calls them the drive-by media.
They just drive-by and spray BS, then move on.
I don’t think Trump’s correction was anywhere near as big as Newt’s criticism was, so I don’t see how it equaled out.
It didn't equal out. Newt made a big mistake. However, he did not entirely ignore the subject.
He acted as if it didn’t happen as it actually did.
Russia looks out for Russia. The USA should look out for the USA - something it hasn't done in years.

By definition almost, a president can’t publicly express no confidence in any of his agencies since he’s in charge of them.
Now Trump explains that he misspoke. Maybe that fixed things up for Newt. I was surprised that he spouted off so quickly. Must have wanted Trump to calm the waters quickly.
I don't see how it could've, given the vehemence of Newt's outburst on Monday.
I think Newt just seized on Trump's explanation today in order to put it behind him.
