Stewards Mates in WWII were mostly Black while the Philipinos ‘took over’ when the rates opened up to ALL.

Most of the Philipinos went into Supply & Disbursing or Admin rates...would imagine getting a clearance was a problem for the Native Philipinos.- not sure if they had to serve as Stewards at first or not.

I was in in the 50s & 60s....

Today, unless you are a USA citizen, in theory you cannot work any military job that gives you access to classified information.
