The day your Presidency ends or position as let’s just say Secretary of State 😜ends so does the clearance and if you get caught trying to obtain access you go to jail. Tuff Sh*t Sherlock “your time is up”! Any and ALL documents in written or electronic or even verbally recorded material must be returned to the government and no copies are allowed under severe penalty (20 years). If you happen to be called back to work for the government you must once again go thru the entire clearance process no matter who you think you are

That is exactly right. No Clearance of any degree once the job is finished for that individual. This has been a serious oversight and, in my opinion, has allowed treasonous people like Jarrett egress into areas she should not have seen at all and certainly not since Obummer was in office.
Apparently it is a "courtesy" and is nothing new. What is new, however, is a previous administration's employees abusing the policy. We sure never heard of GWB's people abusing it once Obama took office (and we definitely would have heard about it if it had happened!). Leave it to Obozo's losers to ruin yet another thing. On the bright side, hopefully the policy will now be done away with once and for all.

I never understood why they have lifetime security clearances. Seems to me that when they are no longer in the position to view security matters they need it taken away. Only let the people involved have clearance. Doesn’t make sense. How fast do you think the next dem president will strip everyone of Trump’s people of theirs when they get in?
Well, to be fair Mike Flynn was yelling "lock her up" at rallies while he still held his clearance.
Trump needs to strip Obama’s intelligence chiefs of their security clearance because they are seditionist piles of excrement.
There is a nuance that nobody is getting.... Having the clearance just means that the necessary background checks have been made and you are eligible to have access if you have a need to know. Access and need to know on the other hand..... simple directive to the appropriate agencies that they no longer have a need to know and their access is to be terminated should be all that is needed.
