‘Mission: Impossible: – Fallout’ Review: Best Action Movie Since ‘Dark Knight’
Breitbart's Big Hollywood ^ | 7-27-2018 | John Nolte

Posted on 07/27/2018 1:15:48 PM PDT by Bratch

Other than the near dud that was number two, the Mission: Impossible franchise, most especially entries four and five, have delivered a spectacular time at the movies.

Everything that is Tom Cruise — his thirty years experience, his tireless drive to stay on top, his relentless quest to entertain and thrill, his belligerent refusal to spoil our good time with politics and messaging — he pours all of this into his baby, his golden goose, his Big Movie Star insurance program; and with Fallout, the sixth in the series, he delivers the best action movie since Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight left us all sockless a decade ago.

In other words...James Bond who?

I have yet to see, ‘The Dark Knight.’ I’ll dig that out and watch that, instead.

I’m Cruised out, frankly. ;)

John Wick was good. John Wick II was a bit over the top, and I’m waiting for John Wick III to see if they can tone it down a bit, or if they go full Matrix Kitch.

I would like to see Alec Baldwin in a movie make of the book, ‘State of Fear’ by Michael Crichton. (RIP, gone too soon!)

He’ll play the part of the smarmy Bad Guy who gets his face chewed off by jungle savages. *SMIRK*

Wick was a lot of gun-fu but it didn’t come close to MI5 and this one looks even better. MI5 was a better “Bond” movie than “Skyfall” (same year).

I’ve always enjoyed the Mission: Impossible films.

Will be worth a torrent.

I like to see Simon Pegg making money. Shaun of the Dead with Nick Frost was so bad it was great.

When I read the book, it sounded tailor-made for Martin Sheen. Remember, the actor in the book was famous for a long-running lefty series in which he played the president.

They’re talking about a sequel. SOTD had the BEST ending and music.

I was amazed he learned to fly a helicopter to do that scene.

I seriously doubt that anything recent with Tom Cruise in it is good. Hyped definitely. But good? Nah.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost wrote and starred in “Paul” - a quite entertaining little film about an alien trying to get back to his planet.

It’s often on SyFy channel.

A wonderfully rude alien. Seth Rogen put a wicked spin on his dialog.

"Dylan isn't dead."

"Isn't he?"

Never seen Dark Night, is that some sort of Batman thing? Ne3ver saw any of them either.

Did see the first MI, and it was OK, not believable, but entertaining. Cannot go wrong with Emmanuelle Beart........

I havent seen the deleted scenes but someone uploaded them on Youtube for example, when Wick meets the Pope which is not in the Blu Ray. Why they took that one out is beyond me...

Doesn’t matter how good or bad a movie is to me nowadays since I have cut off the industry completely. The Last Jedi was the last straw for me. I used to go to a wide range of stuff but no longer. It’s over Hollywood. I had some good times but movie going and tv watching isn’t happening with me anymore.

They’re making a series based on the Continental hotel or hotels. At the same year, JW3 will be released 2 years from now. But Keanu already committed to Bill & Ted 3 LOL

I think I actually meant Specter, since both films dealt with shadowy syndicates. Specter wasn’t even close to MI6.
