Last week, my colleague Bret Stephens imagined a news article on the morning after President Trump’s re-election. Today, I imagine a different outcome.
In the end, it was a lot simpler than it often seemed.
Donald J. Trump, who spent much of the past four years as a historically unpopular president, lost his bid for re-election Tuesday. His approval rating hasn’t approached 50 percent since he took office, and neither did his share of the vote this year.
In an era of deep national anxiety — with stagnant wages, rickety health insurance and aggressive challenges from China and Russia — voters punished an incumbent president who failed on his central promise: “I alone can fix it.”
Since he rode down the Trump Tower escalator to announce his candidacy five years ago, Trump has frequently looked like a man for whom the normal rules of politics did not apply. He won a shocking upset in 2016, which lent him an aura of invincibility. Pundits started to doubt much of what they had previously believed.

When will Dems learn that winning the presidency is not about policy, personality, left vs center, establishment vs “outsider”, or any other aspect of a given candidate? When will they learn it’s not about the candidate at all? It’s about the voters, and not their numbers (we clearly have more of them than does the GOP) but their location (location, location). Why not take some of the bazillion dollars that it costs to run a presidential campaign, and use it to put some of our voters where they need to be? Imagine, those 5 million “extra” California voters distributed across Mich, Ohio, Fla, NC, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania? Find voters who can afford to temporarily relocate (retired, otherwise not working or with kids in school), fund the costs of their move, and never again lose a presidential election.
Wow. Are they going to bus them all over the country?
The left admits once again that they want to steal an election.
In exactly the same way Trump lost the election in 2016.

The weirdest one was the website that ran for weeks pretending Clinton won.
They put a lot of time and effort into being butt-hurt over an election loss. I read today that they even go to therapists for treating their butt-hurt.
