some kind of larva, I’ve seen similar, sans tail. Caterpillar of some sort. Also, we dont have an idea of scale, that thing doesnt look that big.

...we dont have an idea of scale, that thing doesnt look that big. According to the article, the body is approximately five inches long. That's a BIG bug in my book.

According to the articleFake news, from the looks of it, it could be maybe 1 or 2 inches. I have seen caterpillars 3 inches long or more.
