Last time I went Horseback riding, they had a weight limit to protect the horses.

Really sad. They should have a weight limit. Period. Since when does Europe not have all those standards? When I was there, if an American ordered a fancy expensive meal and then wanted to wash it down with Coca Cola, the chef would throw him right out!

“(Donkeys should carry no more than 20 percent of their own body weight, according to the charity Help the Santorini Donkeys.)”
Absolute nonsense! The animal rights activists are doing this with horses, too. They make up a figure - some 20%, others say 15%, and some even 10% - and then say no one should ride a horse if they weigh over that. There is no scientific data supporting those limits.

Where are the weight limits-donkeys are little... When you rent a horse to ride on a trail trip in a lot of states, there are weight limits-last year on a camping trip to Guadalupe Mtns, my employer’s 260 lb wife was refused a horse for a trail trip, but at 170, he was just fine with getting one-she was insulted and pissed, but oh well...

The donkey trail of Santorini. We walked down it to get back to the ship. Five cruise ships in port that day and the line for the funicular was over 1/2 mile long.

Donkeys should carry no more than 20 percent of their own body weightThey should move to blue states where no Donkey pulls even it's own weight.
