Go here and get a Fried Hamburger.

http://www.dyersonbeale.com/

Sorry, you can’t get good BBQ in Tennessee. You have to go to East Central Georgia/West Central South Carolina. Centered around Augusta, Ga.

Everywhere else is just a shadow on the wall compared.

And they don’t grow BBQ in Texas at all. Smoked beef yes, but, not BBQ.

I’ll share a quick story with you.....

When I was 22, many, many, many years ago, My family owned a restaurant and nightclub in Delaware just south of Philly......

Occasionally, we would get a call for a A list musician who wanted to ‘tune-up” in front of a small live audience before appearing in Philly......

On a Wednesday night, one of those musicians walked through our door...... wasn’t into blues, didn’t even know who the guy was.... just that his agent requested a mic and a stool on the stage .......

It was BB King...... as with all musicians, we fed him dinner.... I sat with him and chatted.....

He asked me if I wanted to hold Lucille (his guitar) which I did. He played three sets and I sat with him between sets. Still didn’t know who he was nor how famous he was ......

He was just a really nice guy who played the blues...... my wife snapped a picture of us on stage together....neither of us realized at the time how cool that was.....

just be aware of your surroundings!! Even during the day.

My thoughts exactly. Heard a horror story from someone who was robbed at their hotel during the day.

One more vote for Central BBQ. Better than Randezvous. Although Rendezvous has a bit more ambiance and is located in the part of the City where there is more to see like the Peabody Hotel which is a short walk from each other. Been to both Restaurants.

“Sorry, you can’t get good BBQ in Tennessee. You have to go to East Central Georgia/West Central South Carolina. Centered around Augusta, Ga.”

Exactly right. The only reason we hold the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BBQ CONTEST here in Memphis every May is because of the central location...

Just kidding, Conan. BBQ in Georgia and the Carolinas is certainly different than the Mid South. Sometimes, even I prefer that style.

But Texas - you’re absolutely right. They don’t know BBQ at all... It ain’t beef.

Vergos Rendezvous, absolutely!
Also you might like to visit the National Ornamental
Iron Museum which is housed in a former civil war hospital
and old soldiers home.

Never miss a chance to troll another part of the country about BBQ.

Actually, I have found MOST BBQ is great. But it has to be Pork.

Just wish I could get up to Augusta to get some BBQ.

“Exactly right. The only reason we hold the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BBQ CONTEST here in Memphis every May is because of the central location...” Can’t think of any other reason to be there (ducks...runs for cover). :D

This guy nailed it with one add. If you are looking for BBQ sandwich Three LIttle Pigs on Quince. I never had a good rib at rendevous. I lived in Memphis for 5 years and was in outside sales. Every out-of town guest wanted to go to rendevous. So I have eaten there a lot. Also I like corky’s but that might just be their buttery rolls. Have fun great town.
