Sure, it’s a cash grab. Tiger is making something of a comeback, Phil might still be capable of winning a major, but this thing would have been more interesting 15 years ago. Obviously, I will watch the whole thing, and they will probably both be spectacular.

Dustin Johnson would easily knock off the pair of them. Just sayin’....

YEAH...And DJ could beat Jack, Arnie, Ben, Sam, & Byron today also BUT probably NOT in their best years.

They both still have a big following.

I don’t know why some FReepers insist that they have to be the current best players in the world.

A decade too late.

Its never too late for the sports business to find new and creative ways to monetize something. Its not really a contest; this is all about money.

How will this coverage be any different than some random tournament when “Tiiiiger” is tied with 6 other people for 32nd place, when they put every shot he hits on the screen in live time.

They only thing Tiger golf coverage doesn’t air is his petulant reactions to bad shots, or his diss of enthusiastic fans that extend a hand for a fist bump. He even had 3 uniformed law enforcement types walking with his entourage at the US Open this year to push back prospective fist-bumping fans.

That extra LLE certainly needed for personal protection in the urban jungle of high dollar patrons at Shinnecock on Long Island >sarcasm<

Put me in the “not watching” column, I need to trim my toenails that day.

I'd like to see DJ play with the same equipment Jack, Arnie, Ben, Sam, and Byron used in the day.

Absolutely. The ratings will be very good. They aren’t in their primes, but both are still capable of playing at the very highest levels on a given day. Far more people will watch this than would watch a Dustin Johnson vs. Jordan Speith match.

Two over the hill golfers playing for a boatload of money. It will get great ratings. I won’t be watching, but golf nuts will.

November in Las Vegas....depends a lot on how the course plays and their history on that course. They are both pretty evenly matched head to head today. Yup, 10 years too late.

I won’t be watching much TV over the Thanksgiving Weekend. And definitely have no interest in watching this pointless “contest”.

Far better to get away from the boob tube for awhile and focus on more important things like family and being thankful for what you have. Its a special weekend. Just saying.

It would be interesting to see the Tiger of 2000 vs the DJ of today. I would consider such a match a tossup.

I’ll watch it...after I record it.

Who wants to watch them walking in between shots for 18 holes? Not me.
