At the Circus. Even as late as 1977, it was considered a bit odd, as we see here in a clip from
The Muppet show. Why a 21st century woman would want to look like a 20th century sideshow attraction is beyond me.
Groucho sang of the Tatooed Lady thus:

Nope. Tats don’t belong on women. Dolphins, tramp stamps, `sleeves’, none of it works for me.
