The August 7, 2018 Missouri primary is expected to bring an unusually high turnout because of the presence on the ballot of statewide Proposition A, a so-called right-to-work measure generally supported by Republicans but opposed by Democrats, in a state where political opinion has mirrored that of the U.S. as a whole in all but three presidential elections since 1904.

What a hateful low-life thing to do. Shame!!
If only it was nationwide.
First they came for the pit bulls, but I was not a pit bull...
You have a troll following you. It’s almost like it’s stalking you. You better watch out it may attack like a pit bull. It’s already started it’s growling at others.
I just visited Missouri last week, and stayed overnight in Springfield.
Missouri has a severe homeless issue. I passed through many poor states on my trip, and Missouri really takes the cake. At just about every intersection is a homeless person with a sign.
Many of these people have pitbulls sitting with them. I think that pitbulls are a serious issue for the city. I would imagine that the homeless are also using the dogs to actually fight for money.
Missouri is a sad, sad state these days.
I live in Springfield. I’ll be voting against the ban.
Breed-specific bans have been shown to have no appreciable effect as regards safety.
Of course we have mountains of regulations that have no proven benefit. But that doesn’t seem to discourage the passing of even more regulations of dubious value (at best).
I wonder if pit bull owners should be required to carry specific licenses and insurance? I know - more bureaucracy.
We have a new subsidized apartment built nearby in our rural community and some of the residents have pit bulls. Dogs chained to tires in the back yards. A couple of these dogs barricaded our elderly neighbor in her home and they had to be shot so that she could exit. They were charging at the person who went to check on her. Another inlaw was chased into their home in town by a pit bull and put him and his wife in the hospital.
( That being said, my daughter was bitten by a Jack Russell who attacked the Chihuahua she was walking.
