I'm not sure that God 'likes' free will, but He certainly did give it to us. To my understanding, if we didn't have free will, then what would have the point of Jesus' death on the Cross, and his subsequent resurrection?
Rather, if we didn’t all sin then what would be the point of Jesus Resurrection? ;)
Free Will didn’t get us in trouble, it was choosing sin that mucked things up. I was pointing out the God gave us options and doesn’t regulate our lives like the person in the story sees to do... they in fact, want to ‘have more control over our daily lives’ than God does.
God did indeed give us free wiil; But, a long with it he also gave us the burden of choice.
