Sabres first practice rink was at my school, we practiced just before they did. I was still on the ice and Rick Martin took a couple of half hearted shots on me, which I stopped (8th grade), then I guess he was going to show me, he ripped the next one to the top left corner, took it off my left shoulder, arm didn’t move too well for three days, LOL.
That’s a great story.
