My parents were from the Deep South, and being career Army, raised my siblings and me to be colorblind. It wasn’t until I entered the Navy in the early 70s during the Zumwalt/Black Power/Vietnam crap that I learned who are the real real racists in American society. Hint: It’s not whites.

I think others have learned this along the way as well. I rather like the fact there are ‘differences’ of how we see society....that way I get to choose who I prefer to hang with.
