He’s not stupid,

I call shenanigans.

Lots of stupid people graduate from high school.

You can never go wrong by UNDERestimating the averge intelligence of the poll participant. Which is why i resolutely refuse to participate in any kind of polling!

He did graduate? I wonder why Wikipedia doesn’t mention that. What Wikipedia did think it was important to mention was that St. Vincent/St. Mary’s was “predominantly white” and that his going there “stirred local controversy” of an unspecified nature.

Never finished college

He never went to college. He was drafted right out of high school.

There was a lot of controversy as his high school state championship was rescinded because he was caught with a brand new custom Hummer and his mom had moved into a new house, all while he was still in high school.

The Ohio Supreme Court finally ruled the high school could have the award, as the Hummer and house, which were paid by an agent, were future loans from that agent even though LeBron was not legally signed with that agent. The agent wasn't yet signed by LeBron since that would have been illegal but the twisted logic about the gifts actually being loans got LeBron and his high school the championship and may have saved him from some eligibility problems.

That legal ruling cemented my abject loathing of LeBron and I do so to this day.

“calling for current U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to be fired.”

Maybe. She’s been invisible. I haven’t noticed any improvements in the Education system since she took over. Maybe she and Sessions disappeared together.

I knew some guys who grew up with LeBron. He was a straight arrow in school, didnt smoke pot, or hang out with the pants-on-the ground types. His mother rode herd on him and despite the absence of a father in the home he beat the odds. Married, takes care of his kids, gives to the community. He is misguided politically but so were 90% of Blacks in 2016.

I know a man who lives around the corner from James. He said there are a constant stream of gawkers driving around looking at Lebron’s house. Recently LeBron arranged for all his neighbors to receive free ice cream deliveries to make up for the inconvenience of streams of strangers on their quiet residential streets. Not much money there but sometimes the thought really does count.

4,240 people out of 350 million.

Not exactly overwhelming support is it?

Yea, but they're "woke" so that makes them legion.

You can find pictures of him in a cap and gown online. Also accounts of what his GPA was. So sure, unless you believe in some massive conspiracy, he graduated high school.

What Wikipedia did think it was important to mention was that St. Vincent/St. Mary’s was “predominantly white” and that his going there “stirred local controversy” of an unspecified nature.

You're thinking Whites didn't like that? No, they were African-American kids who chose to go to school outside their neighborhood, and that may not have pleased Black people in the neighborhood. That's relevant if you're telling the guy's life story.

Supporting the president doesn't mean one is obligated to hate the guy. People disagree about politics. That doesn't mean one has to hate them.

Well said. I think those that signed the petition all have Lakers jerseys with #24 on the back...lol. There’s been a feud between Kobe and LeBron that’s gone on for years. Not all Laker fans were thrilled to see LeBron sign with LA.

Thousands of people are morons if they want a high school graduate - who put a ball in a metal ring 10 feet in the air - to be the Education secretary. That would be like John Dillinger to be Secretary of the Treasury.

creating the I Promise School for 240 third- and fourth-graders, thousands of folks have been inspired.

If anyone wants to be inspired, check out the story about University of Michigan's associate head coach and special adviser Biff Poggi who left U of M to become the head coach at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.............
