I was talking about Iraq. The award you mentioned was for Afghanistan. Afghanistan has had a number of living MOH recipients.
Not one word in his Medal of Honor citation that he was inadvertently left behind on the mountain top, where for up to an hour he killed countless insurgents and died when he ran out of bullets. The Navy held up his MOH for years because they didnt want it coming out that they left him behind. But thats exactly what happened. And in the end the Navy got their way. Unless someone is familiar with the operation youll never know the true story.
