*sigh*

How about just being “a truly American President”.

Unless something changes, no matter how much they complain, history will show Trump’s positive impacts in many areas of government, economics, etc.

I’m just gathering up various tarps and protective wrapping material with the idea of shielding myself from any exploding liberal brain matter. But it is absolutely screaming brilliant spin, and it should be run with.

The fact of the frickin matter is that Trump has done more for Blacks than Barack Obamas by a mile, by ten miles, and arguments against that are complete BS.

Except for screaming and thrashing around like idiots, Maxine Waters and the entire CBC has done precisely zero for blacks. ZERO. I wonder if Trump has the guts to say something like that.

Well, I don't know about being the "truly first Black (African-American) POTUS, but he definitely is the most "pro-black" one in recent years, so says at least one of the pastors he met with recently. These guys have been getting backlash from this meeting, too, from a good portion of liberal America and their congregants. Some seem to be very defensive of the meeting and some even throwing him under the bus, after, too. That part is sad.

Comments....please.

I think if you break it down a little more, you will find that the three main branches of African-American politics are represented by the three mentioned Presidents.

Bill Clinton appealed to the pre-socialist W.E.B. DuBois branch. DuBois, in Souls of Black Folk, argued for the necessity of providing special support to ensure African-American success among the general (white) population, because of the "invisible veil" that kept blacks from ever being fully accepted in white society. Clinton was willing to "reform" welfare, in part because he was working with a GOP Congress and in part because it would ensure his re-election in 1996, but he supported affirmative action.

Obama appealed to the slash-and-burn branch, begun and led by groups like the Black Panthers, US, Black UHURU, and by religious leaders like Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan--no one was fooled by his too-clever-by-half denial of Wright (except maybe Wright), and in any case Obama's true allegiance has become even more evident post-presidency, most recently by his tacit-to-open support of the slash-and-burn ANC in South Africa.

Then there's Trump. He appeals to the Booker T. Washington branch, those who want to come Up From Slavery, as Booker's own book title states, by education, training, and providing goods and services that make them necessary in general society. As it becomes more and more evident that African-Americans can rise up out of their morass by the simple acts of getting a diploma, avoiding drugs and promiscuity, and finding work--which is now available because of the present economy--such people will gain their own sense of dignity, and be willing to support Trump as the one who provided them the means of obtaining that dignity. What percentage of the African-American population will be willing to support Trump on that basis is anyone's guess, but the fact that Trump has secured the support of 1/4 of that population is a miracle in itself, and it wouldn't surprise me if that figure doesn't rise to 30% or even 40% in the coming years.

Maybe better to say the first pro-minority president. I think he really wants to help everyone. Jobs, better wages, and blocking off our borders to keep it American.

If you read Paul Johnson’s book “Modern Times”, you’ll come across a section on Republican president Warren G Harding.

Johnson’s main thesis is that history has gotten Harding wrong. Liberals hoisted a “fail” on his short tenure in office but Harding was actually a pretty good chief executive.

One of the most interesting points made was that during the 1920 campaign, the Democrats were FIERCE about attacking Warren Harding for having black ancestry. Democrats were and are bigots.

Now supposedly in the age of DNA testing, it has been shown that WGH did not have African blood. I am not sure. But it could very well be that other Presidents have mixed origins. I would say after thousands of years of civilization MOST of us in the past 500 years (1000? 2000?) are not “racially pure” as the extremists of all colors are wont to say.

Trump’s got game, he loves his bling, he was widely admired by black people prior to the contrived attempt to brand him racist, and will be again. He’s more on their side than any President since Reagan.
