You should be proud you were a stay at home wife and mom. So was my mom (older than you) and that created a stable, happy home life; my dad was home on the dot at 6:30pm! It was a halcyon time. If it makes you feel better, she too regretted not having a lot in her SS account (none at all, I think!) but she was satisfied generally and her husband left her enough dough to live comfortably.
