Because of the roaming PIT BULLS in our neighborhood we carry a 38, pepper spray and a sturdy stick when we walk our blue heeler/stubby tailed cattle dog. Pit Bulls are the favorite of scum to abandon when they pack up the pickup truck and move.
Why abandon one, when they would just have to get another pitbull when they arrive wherever they went?
But if there are feralized dogs around, they ought to be reported to animal control.
