Shark Attacks Surfer At Cape Cod Beach

TRURO (CBS) – A surfer was attacked and seriously injured by a shark at a Cape Cod beach Wednesday afternoon.
The Truro Harbormaster says the man was bitten by a shark at Long Nook Beach.
Sources tell WBZ-TV’s Bill Shields the shark bit the surfer’s hip. The man was taken to Wellfleet and then loaded onto a Medflight helicopter to be flown to Tufts Medical Center. The AP is reporting the man is 61 years old.

Every time anyone goes into the sea in temperate water zones, there’s going to be sharks. Most people don’t think about it a lot but if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time and presenting a profile that resembles a menu item . .

I used to surf there, and Wellfleet all the time.
Not anymore, the seal population has exploded (no hunting) up and down the outer coast, and so has the shark population.
This “environmentalism” is going to get some kid killed.
