A few years back, when a Republican governor lowered the state tax rate, the Democrats howled about how the women and children would be harmed as a result.
So on the state tax form the next year, there was a checkbox to pay the higher tax rate so that the liberals could put their money where their mouths were.
Guess what? Out of about 5 million tax returns, only about 1,200 actually chose to pay at the higher rate - or about .00024% of the total!
The Democrats shut up about the lowered tax rate after that.

Do you know what a nightmare it is to go to the "DMV" to get a license in MA? Do you know the bureaucratic durge march it is and the giant time (as H.Ross Perot would say) sucking sound this would be?
The Dem's dodged a bullet here, adding even more time to your DMV visit because of checking off a bazillion boxes or needing yours done over to conform to the new standard would had the Bay State leaning so far right it would give Texas a run for it's money.
Charles Murrary at the tail end of the Obama Admin was on Bill Bennett's program and noted to counteract them ( these are my words to describe it ) and their deep state tactics we have to slow them down in their own mud if you will, including lawsuits etc. This was just that, Bravo.
