A Kansas City-area school district that garnered national attention when a transgender student was crowned homecoming queen in 2015 has installed gender-neutral restrooms at two new elementary schools and in some existing locations.
The individual bathroom stalls at Rising Hill Elementary and Northview Elementary in the North Kansas City School District two new elementary schools are enclosed with floor-to-ceiling walls and lockable doors, the Kansas City Star reported. The restrooms still have an open alcove area with a common trough sink. Both male and female symbols adorn the same sign on the wall outside the bathrooms.
The elementary schools opened Wednesday. The district also used a gender-neutral design in renovated bathrooms at two sixth-grade centers and at North Kansas City High School.
The district first tried the design at its Northland Innovation Center for gifted students in 2016, a year after one of the districts four high schools, Oak Park High, crowned a transgender student as homecoming queen.

One holers in other words. Never thought about the old out house being gender neutral. Just glad it was there.
It’s the labeling that is absurd. Just for the sake of the left-wing agenda.
All commodes in private houses are also “gender-neutral”, if one wants to stretch it that far.

What surprises me is that some administrators in Fort Worth ISD are talking about this.
Make it a lot easier to play “Show me yours, I’ll show you mine!”
When liberalism went down the toilet. That was a long time ago, but they’re still celebrating.
Liberalism is the broad road to the toilet. Many walk therein and get flushed.
I’m pretty sure these bathroom are used in Europe.
Kansas City will disappear when the New Madrid fault gives way.
However, my original take on the policy is because the current crop of "educators" are too lazy to sort the kids into the correct bathrooms, can't be trusted to sort them, or no longer know the difference.
Missouri needs to embrace homeschooling.
Two boys take a girl in the stall, lock the door and rape her.
That could happen anywhere there’s a door.
No, this is nearly as perfect a solution as is possible and what I’ve advocated every since this silliness began. It gives privacy for all, no pandering to the queers, and makes better use of space because there is only one common sink area instead of two, and a kid can just go into the next available toilet cubicle rather than having to guess at how many of each to provide. Cleaning is simplified too leading to lower operational cost.
I would bet the stalls with with floor-to-ceiling walls and lockable doors are going to cause them some big problems.
Hate to see “embrace” and “bathroom” in the same sentence.
It happens, then the school blames the girl and keeps the boys in detention for a week.
These are not your grandmother’s schools.
I would be very reluctant to go into a bathroom knowing some
male classmates could be awaiting the next “pretty face”.
I have read too many bathroom attacks in the last couple years, and stair wells etc. No use making it easier by giving privacy and an opportunity to surprise someone. Diversity means that there are people in school with your child who may be 27 year olds passing as juvenile refugees, people with gang affiliations, or from places that view unaccompanied girls as free for the taking.
Yeah, but that could be a bit noisy during school hours. More like a boy and girl go into a stall and have sex.
Just a solution to a problem that doesn't exist, but will create many more problems.
Why don't teachers stand up and fight this craziness?
I stopped at 6 incidents
