Brennan has a “right” to a security clearance for life. I heard it on CNN.
Not a right, but a perk of having been a CIA Director. I believe it's by tradition, reviewed every five years.
Also, as such, a former director is required to behave as if still an employee of the CIA.
Brennan has not, so bye-bye.
