Steps to start your own platform on the internet: (updated)
1. Try to purchase server space from thrid party, fail and have to buy your own servers and internet connection.
2. Try to register via DNS service, but your money is no good there so you have register in a different country.
3. Put up link to crowdfunding service, but the credit card company cuts you off.

Maybe decentralized crypto-currencey wasn’t such a bad idea after all where you are your own banker. From what I’ve read Etherium is also capable of running an alternate internet on its existing platform already.
