LOL — Swallows? They could have done it many millennia ago if that was the vector. The fact that such “importation” did not happen til recently leads me to believe that it came via import of Chinese products or people .. either unintentionally or intentionally.
My guess would be exotic imported pets. That whole trade needs to end.
