And while maybe I could understand giving in to a moment of lust, carrying on sex conversations by text with a 14 year-old would eventually become ridiculous. Maybe women teachers try to become so sympathetic to the adolescent mind that they do damage to their own.

I think teachers now don’t want to be authority figures, but “friends” to their students, so they try to get into the mind of an adolescent. For a younger adult female, especially, I can see that being very dangerous to their own mental health.
