A quick dip and back to full mast works for me. Anyone know where in the “flag protocol” it states duration for half mast?

According to protocol, on the death of a member of Congress flags are flown at half-staff on that day and the day after so the White House is following the standards. Anything more or less should require a Presidential Proclamation to that effect.
