Rose McGowan further distanced herself from Asia Argento in the wake of sexual assault allegations waged against the actress-director.
McGowan released a lengthy statement on Monday, detailing how she discovered that Argento had reportedly paid off actor Jimmy Bennett, who claims Argento assaulted him when he was 17 (she was 37). McGowan says her partner, Rain Dove, told her that Argento admitted to sleeping with Bennet. Argento also allegedly told Dove that she had been receiving “unsolicited” nude photos of Jimmy since he was 12 years old, but had not taken action to stop Bennett from sending more. The text messages were soon leaked to TMZ.
McGowan stressed that she is not “affiliated with this incident or being complicit.”
The New York Times published an expose last week claiming that Argento reached a $380,000 settlement with Bennett late last year, months after Argento (like McGowan) came forward with allegations of rape against Harvey Weinstein.

McGowan isn’t affiliated with the leaking of the messages and yet her boyfriend is the one that she accuses of handing them off to TMZ ? In the same way she isn’t complicit with cocaine either. None of which has any particular bearing on the Weinstein allegations.
