That's exactly correct. At my boys' private high school they called them "scholarship" kids which really meant tuition-free. The cost was passed on to the paying parents - mostly, if not all, white.

James is an arrogant, ungrateful POS for not realizing how lucky he was to escape the public school in the 'hood for an opportunity at a good private school, tuition-free.
