I didn’t even hear about the movie until I saw these articles posted about it here on FR.

I'll be giving this one a good leaving alone. No trip to the theater,no renting it from the cable company,no watching it on Netflix (because i don't have Netflix),no borrowing it from the local library,no DVD,no Bluray.
I won't even watch it if it comes to free TV.
It was an AMERICAN achievement, not a "human" one.

I am not an idol worshiper but Armstrong was a person that I could admire as the only person in the world that could beat anyone else’s record for anything. My second most admired human was Eugene Cernan. His picture of him saluting the AMERICAN flag in the lunar highlands was awesome.
To: vannrox
The reason why the leftist film makers didn’t include the flag is that Aldrin is proud to be an American, and that the flag is a symbol of American greatness.
The America-hating leftists thought they could make a few bucks, and $hit on America and the flag as well. Don’t give them one cent.

I am boycotting the movie. PERIOD. Ditto.
I saw the trailer a bit ago and thought....wow....this sure seems pretty negative.
Now I know why my instincts were correct.
Hollywierd could screw up anything.

One of my kids works in the space industry and is a complete space geek.
He was really excited about this movie and is now upset. He may still see it but will certainly be disappointed.
It’s pathetic what these idiot filmmakers do to put their personal politics over actual history.

Something to think about does it get anymore American than this!
[B]acon cubes were among the meals stored in the lunar module. And it worked out that meal A, the first scheduled meal to be eaten on the Moon, consisted of bacon squares, peaches, sugar cookie cubes, pineapple grapefruit drink and coffee. They ate historys first meal on Moon slightly ahead of schedule after landing at the Sea of Tranquility. I won’t post the actual pic cuz it’s YUGE, but here’s a link to an awesome photo of a Saturn V on a crawler, en route to one of the launch pads:

I watched the trailer. i saw the flag on the left arm of Gosling only once and it’s from the front view. so you can barely see it. I suspect you can bet they’ve kept it out of almost all the scenes. No way i’m watching this.

Read an article yesterday where the director says the planted flag appears in several scenes. He just left out the actual planting scene. Dont know if thats true or not.

Hey Chazelle, I saw
The Right Stuff.
First Man is no
The Right Stuff.
Also, if the movie doesn't show Armstrong as the first man on the moon, why is it called First Man?
