My fb friends and I thought this was way over done. Why all the pomp and ceremony for this politician? It was a President Trump hatefest. If he had supported President Trump, there would have been a few seconds mention. Thankfully I did not watch it. I really felt for Ivanka and her husband who had to listen to that junk. People are wondering just how much it cost the taxpayers for the plane, etc. McCain was a bitter old man. I read he planned this disaster. Bless his heart.

I’m one of those and I can’t find any answers. Searches don’t turn up any cost amounts. I know the plane (supposedly) was donated to get the casket and family to DC but after that? Did the same plane take them back to AZ? If so, that’s a big waste! The family could afford to pay their own way home.

There was also a commercial plane that landed at Andrews at the same time and the passengers loaded onto a bus - those were supposed to be staff and congress critters coming back from AZ to DC. Whose cost was the plane and the bus?

There were at least 10 SUV’s at Andrews waiting for the plane from AZ and those don’t come cheap. They were used in the procession to get the casket (hearse) and family to the Capitol.. That many if not more were used to get the casket (hearse) and family to the Cathedral on Saturday, leave from the Cathedral to MD - whose cost is that? Ours? I object!!!

I hope I run out of comments pretty soon as this is exhausting but I can’t help but wonder where Meghan McCain’s anger came from to spit out such venom on Saturday IN A FUNERAL SERVICE for her father. She hasn’t trashed the president on any show that I’ve seen. Not when she appeared on Outnumbered or on The View (from clips I’ve seen.) I never saw anything approaching Saturday’s performance. She was actually sneering on Saturday and what happened recently that filled her with such hate? The plane ride wasn’t costing the family a dime and she couldn’t show gratitude for that from the president?

How interesting it will be to see if the family even thanks the President for ANYTHING connected to the entire fiasco.

It all bothered/bothers me but Bush and obozo were strictly playing the role of politicians - not honest men - so I didn’t expect anything better from them. Good thing because we weren’t going to get it anyway!
