Pope Francis Likens Child Abuse Victims to a 'Pack of Wild Dogs'

Following weeks of pressure for Pope Francis to respond to accusations that he played a role in the cover-up of a Catholic Church pedophile ring, the pontiff finally spoke up on the scandal by referring to the victims of abuse as a "pack of wild dogs."

During Mass at the Vatican’s Sanctae Marthae guesthouse, the Pope raised the issue by likening the latest child abuse scandal to a biblical story where Jesus is driven out of town by a pack of wild dogs.

I suggest it is the pope and his minions who’ve been “acting as wild dogs”, wherever that comes from.

RESIGN!

Still - think he’d say that about plastic straws or that he happily supports wild dogs when trying to destroy the church and instill his leftist policies?

There are no deuterocanonical books belonging to the New Testament. There are apocryphal “gospels”, but they are not of apostolic origin and have never been recognized by the Catholic Church as authentic. I have no clue where this wild dogs business comes from.

He’s not... Find the full text... He’s speaking of those who are trying to use the scandal to attack the church, not the scandal or victims themselves... Context matters.

Just like the left will use any excuse to attack and try to destroy this country.. there are those who will use any excuse small or large to leverage to attack the church.

While I believe this Pope must go and the homosexual subculture in the church must be purged.. This headline and article is completely misleading and spin.

Yeah, well, loser, it’s YOUR church that allowed this to continue, decade after decade after decade - letting homosexuals be priests and then giving them access to children. Good move, morons.

Who in their right mind would EVER trust any of their children with any of you people anymore, EVER? You’re proven again and again you cannot be trusted.

Either that, or he’s a subversive trying to destroy the Catholic Church from within. Possibly both.

Clickbait piling on.

Not defending Francis but I’m calling BS on this article.

None of the quotes they provide has him actually saying anything like the title. Other news services including ones critical of the Pope reported on the same homily and didn’t hear him say that either.

And the ultimate proof that the author of the article knows that the homily itself doesn’t support his assertion: no link to the text.

I don’t recall ANY story in the Bible where ANYONE was attacked by a pack of wild dogs, let alone Christ Himself.

Silence. How convenient.

Blaming the victim? What the pretender pope has said is on the level of Rapist Clinton saying “Put some ice on it”.

The pretender pope is a heretic.

Thank God for some of the cardinals and archbishops speaking up. Was it Cardinal Burke the first to sound the alarm about this imposter?

There is no such story in my versions of the Bible.

I would not for a second be shocked to find out this pope was/is a pedophile.

Why? Because SO MANY are. Oh, small percentage you say.

THEY ARE PRIESTS for God’s sake. The number of pedophile priests should be ZERO!

You say, but “All have sinned...” okay, but you can’t have it both ways. If they are merely sinners “just like the rest of us” how are they supposed to be Christ on earth?

Christ would never.... I can’t even say it.

I have ZERO respect for THIS pope and Catholic priests in general.

Until the good priests throw out this heretic pope, expunge all gay/pedophile priests, I can not respect Catholics.

Just like Muslims, Catholics allow evil to flourish in their religion and do NOTHING about it. Are they complicit? I think so.

Another reason that I’m glad I have “faith”, not a “religion”.

Protestants are hardly pure either, but it is a SYSTEMIC EPIDEMIC in the Catholic church. That, is undeniable.

“Where is that story in the Bible?”

Why are people asking about the Bible and Jesus? Neither have the slightest bit of relevance to any story about this so called Pope.

“How did a College of Cardinals largely appointed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI elect this man Pope? This non-Catholic is genuinely baffled”
My guess is that it is the very deals made in that college of cardinals as they were choosing the next pope that empowered McCarrick.
