the employee gets their share in form of paycheck. what this woman is accused of is theft, taking some thing more from her employer than agreed upon for her employment.

also the context of what you posted is about a preacher being supported. though it gives examples of other ways employers may choose to share with employees, it doesn’t mean the employee gets to choose what they take from employer.

“Adding all the speed together, I was traveling faster than the speed of light which meant that I arrived before the offense and couldn’t be charged.”

Nicely done, very nice.

A sheperd gets paid in the form of the milk they drink? A guy tending a vinyard gets paid by the grape he eats? Ok. Don’t want to work for you!

Seriously though, if they had a problem with this lady snacking, they should have caught on years and years ago, or explained that employees were forbidden from tasting the merchandise they sell, which to me is like telling a carsalesman he can’t test drive the cars he’s supposed to sell.

Another article says 8 years instead of 5 as in this article.
Either way it’s a lot of ham. But in any case a lot of meat.

:-)

Yeah, we all have our own little accent quirks, from all the corners of this great country.   (At least we all speak English -- more or less.)

And you got back, before you left.   (And I swear that I'm sober, ossifer!)

The problem with using the Bible to passively establish a ‘right’ for thievery is that it’s still theft. Using that particular passage, a person working in an office store is free to take office store supplies, a hospital working...medicine and guazes...family diner...walk food out of the back door of the kitchen... When I worked at a fast food place in the 70s we were allowed food on breaks up to a certain $ amount. We knew from being raised correctly that anything over that amount was theft; didn’t even have to be told that by any Management. She took what wasn’t hers. If it did happen over time it showed she had the mindset for taking other things as well... I’m concerned, yes, with why it took someone so long to say something and did this person speak to her in the past to try to dissuade her from stealing.

I don’t know if I did that! I was just throwing it out there. I think there’s much more to this story and that’s that.
