It took Marvel about 10 movies to finally get to that fine balance they have now. You can’t expect DC to do it in one movie.
Marvel was fortunate to find a few people who could give it an over-arching theme to hold it all together.
Marvel respected its source material... WB refuses to.. which is why by and large, their movies are fuster clucks...
Their Animated Movies are generally far far superior to their live action/cgi ones because they respect the source material... yes they take some artistic license from time to time, but they generally are far better movies than the big budget CGI things that they are releasing.
True ... but they kicked it off with that badass Iron Man movie. That was one heck of a start.
Ah, but DC were the ones who expected to do it one movie.
They released Man of Steel, it got lousy reviews and underperformed, and then they pretended like audiences absolutely loved it and were begging for more, since they decided to build an entire "cinematic universe" on that turd and "announced" about 20 more spinoffs and 4 sequels overnight BEFORE they had made ONE good movie.
They gave Zack Snyder and David Goyer a pat on the back for their medoicre film and rewarded them with a big juicy contract and ever more money to make oodles of followup movies. So Synder and Goyer happily obliged and started giving them even bigger turds, starting with Batfleck vs. Pseudoman.
