I read somewhere that many Alaskan guides carry double-barreled shotguns. The theory is that you’re only gonna get off two shots before things get up-close and personal.
Nope. Just thought it would be fun to go camping - on her own - in a complete wilderness where all sorts of truly dangerous animals run about.
Problem is cougars are sneaky as, well, cats. Liable to be on you from behind before you even know it’s there. I’d rather have a pistol, a good knife and a tall sturdy backpack.
