I think it was around '97 or '98, my friends and I were sitting on the outside of turn 5 at Road America during the Champ Car race.

Bryan Herta had gotten spun off the track at that turn, and was sitting in the runoff facing oncoming traffic. Alex Barron came in hot, locked his brakes and drove right up on top of Herta's car.

LUckily, both drivers emerged unscathed, but it was a fairly intense scene.
