American singer, actor Frankie Avalon celebrates 78 today.
Panic in the Year Zero
Happy birthday Frankie. Late for bed.....
Viagra....
Oh, Viagra...
Viagra if you will
Please make me young again with your blue pill...
Avalon is one of the very few actors from that period (Late 50’s early 60’s) who has kept a low profile and not tried to gain attention by saying something ugly about our president.
The only thing I can recall reading about Frankie, is that he has at least seven children.
Unlike others who I still admire for their talent, like
Tony Bennett, who has said he doesn’t think fighting WW2 was worth it for America. Sometimes less is more. The public doesn’t always want to know about every nook and cranny of your inner thought structures.
Tony really said that?
Frankie tours much of the year with his own show or with Fabian and Bobby Rydell. He keeps young real well! Happy Birthday!
Yes, he did, and more than once. He has said his son who manages his dad, has asked him to stop saying such things in public. Tony still says it, perhaps thinking he has nothing to lose, since most Showbusiness people of today will at least pretend to agree with him, just to fit in.
Many performers live in a cultural bubble.
Wow! Great singer but he does live in a bubble and never learned to divorce singing from politics.
Beach Blanket Bingo!
He was a son of the beach and Annette was the Mermaid. Both good people.
Happy Birthday Sweet 78!
Eric Von Zipper adores you. And when Eric Von Zipper adores somebody, they stay adored.
Erich Von Zipper!
Frankie actually appears as himself in Casino. Hes on a talk show with Deniro and acknowledges that he has 7 kids.
