I had a commie/lib boss move to my small town twenty years ago and he gushed how great it was compared to the big city he was from and then promptly begin telling us hicks how we were living wrong and needed to change and do things like they did where he was from.

Speaking only of blue state emigres, and I know a few, these are not outcome-based decision makers, they focus on principles only and they’re the principles that make them feel good about themselves. A negative outcome is met with a shrug and “at least we tried.” And for that reason they all consider themselves more moral than their critics.
