A Person's Character Can Now Be Determined By What He Did In High School?

Posted on 09/21/2018 4:56:46 AM PDT by Saveourcountry

Regardless of the guilt or innocence of Kavanaugh, it is ridiculous to think that what someone did in high school, should determine his character after leading an exemplary life for the next 40 years.

The average person looking at this is intelligent enough to look at this for what it is, no matter what they claim. To me it is like the "hanging chad" controversy when they were trying to claim that George Bush was elected illegitimately because the people in Florida were too stupid to vote correctly.

Both of these tactics are pathetic and defy common sense - but you can't even google anything that disagrees with the forgone conclusion that Kavanaugh in unfit and CBF is a feminist hero.

I don't think average people want to be judged by high school hijinks. I am a completely different person than I was in high school, as with most people who grow and mature.

I don't believe this convenient tale about Kavanaugh for one minute, but even if it WERE true, so what? He was not alleged to touch her anywhere that is inappropriate and allowed her to leave the room when she resisted. To me this is pretty slim stuff to be making such hysterical claims about like "sexual assault". There is no way that this is even close to a sexual assault. If you want a real definition - check out what is alleged against Keith Ellison.

No . A persons character is judged by what he is accused of 36 years later by a person who can’t remember the YEAR, or the LOCATION, or have any witnesses who corroborate the account. If that person is a Conservative.

The most negative for Kavanaugh interpretation that is even remotely realistic is that this was an awkward attempt at seduction (in front of a friend because that’s how perhaps one in a thousand guys imagines their first romance). The most realistic interpretation is that this alleged “attempted rape/murder” is a complete fabrication developed over six years of practice, ever since a far-left freak willing to lie heard that Kavanaugh, a conservative who attended a school near her school, was mentioned as a possible nominee.

No one thinks this including their targets, the GOP moderates and RINO’s. The Democrats are not stupid. All they need to do is provide enough cover for Senators Murkowski and Collins. If we want Kavanaugh confirmed then we must give these two women a reason to do that.

If we don’t care that Kavanaugh is confirmed then we want to use that failure in the election campaign. Your point could be used to tar the Left as the kooks they really are. There is some persuasion value here as you can point out that no one is safe from these attacks.

We should all come clean, like in those Chicom guilt sessions where they admitted to any imaginary fault against the state and asked for forgiveness.

I’ll go first.

In high school, I smoked pot.

I still do, but I did it in high school.

I think it can be. Two examples from me:

1. In high school I liked girls. I still like girls.
2. In high school I would be given a two month assignment and do the whole thing in the last three days - and get an A- or B+. I’m 64 and that is STILL how I do my job and am very successful. But I struggle with it constantly.

But both of those things are patterns that carried with me from high school. I no longer throw beer cans out the window of my car. I no longer grope chicks (thought they usually liked it). Both are terribly disrespectful. I grew up. As did most of us.

We are now witnessing a lynch mob mentality. Our justice system seems to be pandering to it.

"I am a completely different person than I was in high school, as with most people who grow and mature."

Hillary Clinton campaigned for Goldwater. Obama was part of the Choom Gang. Corey Booker was "feeling up" drunk girls. It goes on and on and on.

Does the left really want to make this the standard?

” they admitted to any imaginary fault against the state and asked for forgiveness”

Sounds a lot like scientology to me.

Only for normal people. For those who promote abortion or the ideology that wants to replace the Constitution of this country, there is a free pass and nothing is considered wrong.

Cool, then the Left is OK with executing 15 year old murderers?

Exactly right.

But it flies amongst the emotionally-driven, irrational liberals whose identity politics rule.

So... the new standard is any teenage guy who grabbed a boob or any teenage girl who grabbed a package in high school is now, 40 years later, to be considered a sexual predator?

I’m just trying to discern the level of absurdity to which we as a society have sunk.

Agree, but people on both sides see it for what it is. This idiocy will follow him the rest of his life, just like Clarence Thomas. And it is so very idiotic. Equally as stupid as the “hanging chad” controversy.

To this day (stupid) people still believe that Bush was an illegitimate president because the idiots in Florida were too stupid to vote for the right candidate. They actually made a claim that the most stupid people in America should have been able to determine the next president.

There are faces of people I knew in high school that I can barely remember. How does she know it was him? At least, how can she be so sure?

As stated, there’s no accusation of sexual touching anyway. This is the most absurd thing ever.

____________

Good point. Or if that person was appointed by a conservative President. Democrats can rape, leave a young woman to die, be leaders in the KKK, sexually assault, and beat their wives and girlfriends, and the left not only looks the other way, but lauds them!
